Time really flew by, less than two weeks before I embark off to Sweden. There's too many emotions running through my mind to be able to describe them all; anxious about whats going to happen, excited/nervous to meet new people, worried about not doing well with the language, and so forth. I still haven't quite grasped the fact that I am indeed going to Sweden for an entire year. With that said, I feel like I am going there completely blind, I have no idea what is in store for me across the ocean. There's going to be so many amazing experiences that will stay with me and others that will probably hurt, and all coming together in the end to tie the adventure to a close.
One of my main goals I plan on accomplishing is the become as fluent in Swedish as I can. Being able to speak multiple languages is one of the coolest things that I can think of, and hopefully after this trip I will be able to go off and learn others; communication is a very powerful tool. I'm very excited to learn a different culture, another high rank on the cool meter. Knowing other cultures allows for a better understanding of peoples decisions, politics and social norms, amongst others. Once again, I'll be trying to keep this fairly updated throughout the year to allow people to know whats going on with me.
